
Hiking around our campsite near Guérande l’Ile de Kernodet
The Loire-Atlantique and Brittany regions attract huge numbers of visitors every year, right from the start of the summer season. What makes these regions so special? Outstanding gastronomy, beautiful, relaxing countryside and numerous hiking trails for families and friends. Here’s a closer look at what you can do at our campsite in Saint Molf and the surrounding area.

Hiking in and around Saint-Molf
Located on the edge of the Brière Regional Nature Park, Saint-Molf is ideally situated for hiking. Numerous trails and paths allow you to discover the region’s natural heritage.
Mesquer and the Pointe de Merquel
Located to the west of the ile de Kernodet campsite, the small town of Mesquer offers a variety of walks and hikes. Here, you can wander through the Breton countryside and gradually discover the seafront. Various footpaths allow you to discover the local cultural heritage, observe picturesque Breton houses, and finally bask on one of the town’s beaches.
Hiking trails will take you to the Pointe de Merquel and its typical Notre-Dame de Merquel chapel, to Sorloc beach or to Lanséria beach, particularly popular with families.
Assérac and the Mès salt marshes
A short drive north on the D33 brings you to the commune ofAssérac. There are numerous footpaths leading to the Mès salt marshes.
For the more sporty among us, it’s possible to walk along thePont d’Arm andBarreestuaries to reach the Kermalinge dune, Pen Bé bay or even Pont-Mahé beach.
Guérande and its internationally renowned cultural heritage
Who hasn’t heard of Guérande? The region is world-renowned for its salt. It’s a wonderful tourist destination, offering a wide range of walks to discover the Breton heritage.
The best-known hike is undoubtedly through the Guérande salt marshes. But the possibilities don’t stop there. It’s perfectly possible to stroll through the streets of the medieval town of Guérande, or to discover the region’s architectural heritage, such as the maison des paludiers or the château de Careil, all on foot.
Piriac-sur-Mer and its coastal path
Following on from the commune of Mesquer, Piriac-sur-Mer offers a wide range of hiking trails. Its coastal path takes you to the Port-au-Loup beach, the Port Kenne beach, the Closillot beach, the Pointe du Castelli and the Baie du Rocher Bleu.
The village center is not without its attractions either. Here you’ll find beautiful period houses with exposed half-timbering.

L’ile de Kernodet is now the commune’s main campsite, and an ideal place to stay with friends or family in the heart of the Guérande peninsula. Situated in the immediate vicinity of the main tourist attractions of the Guérande peninsula and the surrounding area, camping de l’ile de Kernodet will be your perfect base for discovering the Guérande culture.
There are plenty of facilities to make your stay at camping de l’ile de Kernodet as relaxing as possible. Take advantage of the indoor swimming pool, as well as the many activities and facilities for young and old alike.
You can choose between several types ofaccommodation. You can choose between our mobile homes for four to six people, or pitches where you can pitch your tent directly.
There are plenty of activities in the vicinity of our campsite (kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking, etc.) to help you spend a relaxing and peaceful vacation with your friends or family.
