La Turballe’s 9 kilometers of coastline are occupied both by salt marshes, covering an area of 150 hectares, and by numerous beaches: Plage de Belmont, Plage de Ker Élisabeth, Plage des Bretons, Plage de Pen-Bron… which are preserved, environmentally-friendly beaches that have been certified by Europe’s international Blue Flag label for over 15 years. Here you can swim, stroll or fish for mussels, whelks, crabs and even fish such as mackerel and sole!

There’s a fun trail for the whole family at the “Maison de la Pêche” museum, where you can learn a little more about the history of the port, the canneries… You can even go on a fishing trip with a fisherman. And if you’re an early riser, you can attend the fish auction.
A preserved heritage
As for heritage, in La Turballe you can see the sardinier “Au Gré des Vents”, a fishing boat certified as a “Bateau d’Intérêt Patrimonial”, built over 50 years ago and saved from destruction by enthusiasts.
You can also visit the Kerbroué Mill, dating from the XVIIIᵉ century, or the Trescalan Belvedere, dating from the XVIIᵉ century and allowing you to admire the landscape at 360°.
If you’re more of a nature lover, we invite you to visit the pointe de Pen Bron, where you’ll discover a large area of white and grey dunes, as well as a pine forest. Be careful, though, as the dunes are protected as a refuge for local flora and fauna.


En route to the islands around La Turballe
From your campsite near La Turballe, you can visit the islands of Houat, Hoëdic and Belle-Île-en-Mer.
Theisland of Houat is a Natura 2000 site, designed to protect biodiversity. Here you can discover fine sandy beaches, turquoise waters and coves, as well as a small village in bloom and 16 kilometers of coastal paths.
Theisland of Hoëdic is also classified as a Natura 2000 site. It, too, boasts fine sandy beaches, as well as a Vauban fort partially converted into a gîte. If you’d like to learn a little more about the island’s flora and fauna, you can take part in exhibitions organized by the Association de Gestion du Fort d’Hoëdic et de son Environnement.
As for Belle-Île-en-Mer, its mild climate means you can stroll around in perfect harmony with nature.

Our campsite near La Turballe (12 min or 8 km) is just a stone’s throw from the beaches. Our 4-star campsite is perfectly situated for enjoying La Turballe and the surrounding area. We offer modern, comfortable mobile homes close to the seaside for up to 6 people. Perfectly equipped with 2 or 3 bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and all the necessary sanitary facilities. For those who prefer traditional camping, we offer pitches of around 100m² with running water and electric hook-up.
The swimming pool at our Saint-Molf campsite offers the whole family the chance to relax and/or have fun in complete safety. For the little ones, there’s a dedicated aqualudic area. For those looking to relax, our overflow spa is perfect! The Île Kernodet campsite near La Turballe is the ideal place to spend your vacations in the Loire-Atlantique region.
