Situated just 6 km from our campsite in Saint-Molf, Asserac is well known to kitesurfers and windsurfers as one of the best spots in France. Joining Asserac during your stay at our campsite on the Guérande peninsula will give you the opportunity to learn or perfect your kitesurfing skills. But that’s not Asserac’s only asset.
These beaches are also popular for shore fishing, and the shallow waters are ideal for families. There are also the Assérac salt marshes, part of the 400-hectare “Bassin du Mès”. An opportunity to discover the salt pans. Asserac is also home to shellfish farming. Both offer visitors the chance to take a guided tour and discover an ancestral know-how.



What to do in Assérac
On foot or by bike, there are a number of hiking trails to discover in Assérac. For example, you can set off from Pont-Mahé or Pen-Bé for an 8 km walk (2 hours). More experienced hikers, on the other hand, may prefer to follow the 20 km circuit linking the center of Asserac to the Bay of Pont-Mahé and its dune.

Experienced windsurfers and kitesurfers alike will find it hard to resist the call of the sea when they come to Asserac. In one of the best spots in France, thanks to the orientation of the bay and the winds, you can enjoy new sensations by joining the Pont Mahé kitesurf and wind foil school.
On the other hand, those who prefer to fish on foot or laze on the beach can head for the beaches of Pen Bé and Pont Mahé.
